Design and paint your own set of 4 ceramic Mahjong tiles in this hands-on workshop. No experience needed, just bring your stories, creativity, and your inspiration to design your tiles.

In this workshop, participants will design and glaze a set of 4 ceramic Mahjong tiles using underglaze techniques. Guided by our instructor, you’ll explore pattern-making, symbolism, and personal storytelling through clay.

Mahjong is more than a game. It carries memory, identity, and cultural meaning across generations. This workshop invites you to reinterpret Mahjong tiles through your own experiences, whether personal, cultural, or purely creative.

All materials are provided. Finished pieces will be kiln-fired and available for pickup at a later date.

Good to know:

  • This is a beginner-friendly workshop (no ceramics experience required)

  • Small group setting (max 13 participants)

  • This is a creative workshop focused on expression, not a technical class on glaze chemistry
